Galvanized Steel Coil is coated with zinc, either by the hot-dipping or electrolytic deposition processes. Zinc coating applied by the hot dip method is normally heavy enough to resist corrosion without additional protective coating. Materials electronically galvanized are not used for corrosion-resistant applications without subsequent chemical treatment and painting, except in mild corrosive conditions, due to the thin coating of zinc. Galvanize is a pure zinc coating. A special heat-treating process converts the pure zinc coating to a zinc/iron alloy coating, and the product is known as Galvanneal. Galvanized sheet is used, e.g. in the automotive industry or in the production of roofing materials.

Features	Excellent corrosion resistance	The steel sheet is covered with a uniform zinc-plated layer by controlling the amount of zinc coating. Thezinc-plated layer itself is chemically treated, which ensures excellent corrosion resistance.
	Super Formability	The raw materials in coil forms are continuously annealed, galvanized,and properly leveled, granting final products superior formability.
	Longer life	With galvanization, a piece of industrial steel is expected to last more than 50 years in averageenvironments, and can last over 20 years with severe water exposure.
Type	Electrogalvanized steel sheet	In the electro-galvanizing process, steel sheets are not heat-affected so they maintain the same workability as that of hot-olled and cold rolled steel sheets.Electrogalvanized steel sheets have purezinc layer with excellent ductility, but no brittle iron-zinc alloy layer, which may cause peeling off with the former sheets.
	Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet	Hot-dip galvanized steel sheets are heat-affected during the subsequent galvanizing stage;so they lose someof their normal workability compared to the normal hotrolled and coldrolled steelsheets.The surface layer is pure zinc, with excellent ductility. Between the base metal and the surfacelayer are thin alloyed-layers of iron and zinc, but their structure and thickness are strictly regulated so that the zinc-plated layer will not peel off.
